I already have a job, so can I just take pictures a few hours in my off-time?
Absolutely. You choose when you take photos. Just make sure it's an event where partcipants want to purchase photos.
Exactly how much can I make?
Our base price is $7.99, netting you $5.00, however for some events you may be able to choose your own price. In this case, Flashframe takes a 31% cut off of each photo sold, and Stripe takes a 2.9% + 30 cents of the total transaction; you profit the rest.
How do I get paid?
We use Stripe to handle all payment processing on both the customer and photographer side. Stripe is a worldwide leader in international internet payments, rivaling other well known companies like PayPal; they handle payments for other well known companies like Lyft, Postmates, and Instacart. We use Stripe as we prefer not to handle the sensitve transaction data such as credit card numbers or bank account information on our servers. As a photographer, when you make your first sale you will need to create your Stripe account in order to get paid. If you do not create your account within seven days of your first payment, you will forefit the sale. You can monitor sales, transactions, and direct deposits through your Stripe account.
How will I know when I make my first sale?
You will get an email from us with the photo that sold, as well as an email from Stripe to remind you to activate your account, if you haven't already. Everytime you make a sale, you will then be notified by us by email on which photo sold.
Is Flashframe safe?
Yes, although we are not in partnership with all of the events we host photos for, taking pictures in the public domain is both legal and safe. Please listen to event officials if they ask you to move off the course, or to move to another location, and make sure to take respectful pictures of participants.
What are Flashframe’s requirements?
Have a camera and the will to get out to the event, then register an account!
