Newport News One City Marathon
FlashFrame announced this week that their service would be available at the Newport City News One City Marathon presented by Newport News Shipbuilding on March 12th 2017, through a partnership with the event. FlashFrame is a Chicago based start-up that offers a repository for race photography, dynamically tagging uploaded photos with bib numbers as well as athlete shirt colors so that participants can quickly find and purchase their photos from race photographers. Photographers have contributed photos to the site at many events across the US and internationally including the Bix-7, Chicago Marathon, NYC Marathon, and Havana Marathon.
This year will mark the third running of the annual Once City Marathon, an event that boasted over 3000 finishers in 2016 across all events including the One City Marathon, Marathon Relay, Maritime 8K, and Nautical Mile. A truly unique event in Newport Virginia, the weekend offers a health and wellness expo, pre-race pasta dinner, and magnificent waterfront course all culminating with a post-race celebration in the local Victory Landing Park.
